Hey everyone! Sorry for the lack of updates recently. It's been a busy summer. I graduated from SUVA in May (with honors w00t!) so I was really busy putting my portfolio together as well as working on some side projects. I'm just gonna throw up some stuff I did recently and hope you all dig it.

Some stuff
Yay Sundaaays. So I added a Video page to show my animations. I couldn't get Vimeo to embed the actual videos on the page (hope I can fix that later) but for now just follow a link to my Vimeo page to check them out. I'm currently working on some animations so I'll be updating that soon too.
Anyways, I was pretty glad to see one of my favorite series ever was on Hulu. That series being Lupin the IIIrd. For some reason, I am always drawn to stories about thieves. I did a quick sketch a few weeks ago of my favorite character, Daisuke Jigen, in a realistic fashion.
Also been trying to get back at doing some studies so here's a knight helmet since that seems to be a popular thing to paint
And last but certainly not least is the technical illustration I did for a vehicle concept. First time I've really combined 3D models and painting, I think the result is pretty cool. Really wanted to throw this thing model in SketchUp to see what I could get out of it (never messed with SU before..) but each time I imported the .obj file, SketchUp crashed. Boooo. Want to expand more on this vehicle but this is what I could do in the time that I had.
Some info about the vehicle-
This is the STA-11-ION. A hovercycle powered by an Ion engine, this is a swift and agile vehicle used by the Hunter character I developed for a hypothetical sci-fi action game I came up with last term based on the story "Iron John". In the original story, Iron John gives the King's son a horse to aid him in a large battle. In this version, the Hunter (a combination of the King's son and Huntsman character) uses this vehicle to move across the planet at high speeds and to fend off threats. Sometimes, it's even used to chase down larger aggressive game.

Exciting things! Here's some recent sketches and other work I'm currently doing. Also check out my new gallery that is up for some recent paintings I've done :]
Just a silly sketch of a silly kid |
This is a model of a vehicle I sketched last term. I'll end up doing a paint over on top of it since it is being used for a technical illustration assignment. :] |
